The peace of mind that comes with the Gamin G1000 glass cockpit, GFC700 autopilot, EECU controlled turbo-diesel engines, and a tough composite airframe, is just part of a long list of standard features.
Don’t worry about high cost maintenance, fuelling and single engine operations: Our DA42-VI equipped with Jet fuel engines offer you extreme fuel efficiency (consumption at 60% 10.4 US gal/hr), take you further (range at 60% 1,200 nm), are fuelled with lower priced Jet-A1 (average relation from Jet-A1 to Avgas 1:2) and have tremendously lower maintenance expenses than conventional gasoline engines.
With traditional twins, single-engine operations were their Achilles heel. Feathering an engine in the ultra-modern DA42-VI is as easy as flipping a switch, and restarting it after a simulated shut down is just as simple. With a single-engine ceiling of 18,000 feet and a positive rate of climb with one engine inoperative, the aircraft is supreme on the performance front, too.
The capable Garmin G1000 cockpit makes flight planning and plan changes in the air less challenging. A dual-alternator, dual battery system provides you with the confidence that your avionics will be there when you need them. The anti-static primer combined with static wicks ensures crisp reception especially in precipitation when you need it most.
Your DA42-VI is also certified for IFR (Instrumental Flight Rules), VFR (Visual Flight Rules) and Night VFR. A proven TKS ice protection system helps the DA42-VI to withstand flight into known icing conditions. Wings, tail, propellers and windshield are protected with TKS fluid, systems are redundant and rigorous flight tests have demonstrated the ability of the DA42-VI to withstand icing long enough to get you back to safety.

In May 2013 LifeStyle Aviation imported the first Diamond DA42-VI sold to the US. From the birthing of the aircraft in Austria, including the European Delivery Experience for the new owners Sue and Dave Passmore, to the ferry flight to the London Ontario plant for equipment additions, this plane was destined to be a star when it arrived in the US.
To cement this particular aircraft into the wall of fame, John Armstrong, President of LifeStyle Aviation, arranged for the plane to be featured as the front cover story in AOPA Pilot Magazine for the Oshkosh 2013 issue. Though the DA42 has been on the market for some time and many folks think they know the plane, this new enhanced version is truly amazing.
